School is back in session at our local schools, but the staff of Diel & Forguson hasn't stopped their Continuing Professional Education throughout the summer. In order to better serve you, we keep up to date on our various fields of expertise. Here are some of the things we've been up to:  ¿ Polly Stover, CPA, MBA and Michael Brokering, CPA, CVA travelled to Scottsdale, Arizona to attend the "2008 AICPA Emerging Partner Training Forum." ¿ Ken Diel, CPA, CVA participated in the two day "PCPS Small Firm Network Group Meeting" in San Antonio, Texas. It was sponsored by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). ¿ Toni Griffith received Advanced Authrized Agent Certification at a workshop presented by the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF). ¿ "Studies on Single Audit & Yellow Book Deficiencies" was a course offered by the Missouri Society of CPAs (MSCPA) and completed by Margot Holt, CPA. ¿ The “2008 Forum for Women in Accounting” was a three day seminar held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jane Halloran and Polly Stover, CPA, MBA attended. ¿ Ron Sundermeyer and Sharon Sundermeyer completed a course entitled "FHA Loan Origination Basics." It was given by the Illinois Association of Mortgage Professionals (IAMP) in Lombard, Illinois. July 2008 ¿ Ken Diel, CPA, CVA and Nathaniel Klitzing attended a Financial Planning for CPAs conference in Chicago, Illinois.u
